| Renu bags first prize in Clay modeling | | |

Jammu, Nov 27: Farmer with a plough, a clay model, prepared by Renu Bala of institute of music and fine arts, fetched first prize in the clay modeling competition, conducted by the department of students welfare, university of Jammu on the 5th day of the “Display Your Talent” 2009-10. Trishla Kumari of government college for women, Gandhi Nagar, bagged second prize whereas Rubiya Malik from GGM science college, evening, was bagged third prize in the said contest.
Bharti of government college for women, Gandhi Nagar, Varun Kumar from institute of music of fine arts and Ankit Raina and Taawish College of education, were awarded certificates of merit.
The topics for the clay-modeling were “mother and child”, “village life” ad “wrestling”.
Ganesh Sharma, Jagpal Bandral and Brij Pal Anand were the experts. Ganesh delivered an illuminating talk on clay modeling and asked the participants to play with the clay. He said that with a little hard work and practice one can improve the things, considerably.
Prof. Poonam Choudhary, teacher incharge of the activity made the participants conversant with the rules and regulations and also supervised the competition as well. |
