Bhalla inaugurates Tube Well at K C Colony in Trikuta Nagar

Jammu, Nov 28-Minister for Revenue and Relief Raman Bhalla has said that coalition Government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is fully aware of people’s hardships of three regions of the state and making concerted efforts to resolve these at the earliest.
The Minister said this while addressing the gathering after inaugurating Tube Well at K. C Colony in Trikuta Nagar completed at a cost of Rs. 59.50 lakh by ERA.
Chief Engineer PHE Dalip Bakshi, Executive Engineers of ERA, R&B and PHE accompanied the Minister.
Bhalla said that on the commissioning of Tube Well, a population of 18200 souls of Chak Bijan, Preet Nagar, Menia Mohalla and K. C. Colony would be benefited. To deal with drinking water scarcity in Bablina, Sunjwan and Mirakhari Mohalla, he said a tube well is under construction at a cost of Rs one crore at Mirkhari Mohalla in Channi Himmat. He asked the ERA to complete the ongoing development works of tube well within stipulated time frame for the benefit of people. He directed to blacklist those agencies, who are not completing the development works as per specification/norms. He asked them to use government money judiciously and create durable assets in the state.
Regarding construction of ashram nallah in Gangyal, he said that government has approved Rs. 40 lakh for the purpose and the work on it would be taken up by ERA shortly.
Later, the minister also visited Partapkot in Birpur and inaugurated Phase-I Jammu University Teachers Cooperative Housing Colony by drawing draw of lots of 45 beneficiaries of faculty members of Jammu University. The teachers’ colony would be established in 256 kanals of land under self financing schemes.
Minister for Industries and Commerce Surjit Singh Slathia, Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof. Varun Sawhney, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Saurabh Bhagar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, SSP, Samba and faculty members were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that teachers are playing vital role in shaping the personality of students. He said that the aim of the coalition government is to provide free and fair administration to all sections of the society. He directed the Revenue Officers to work with zeal and dedication in providing best services to people by solving their revenue related issues without any delay.
