| Natural cave at Vaishno Devi to open for pilgrims tomorrow | | | Early Times Report JAMMU NOV 28: The natural cave of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine situated in the folds of Trikuta Hills of mountainous Reasi district would be thrown open tomorrow for the pilgrims visiting here, official sources here today said. The natural cave, which was closed after the construction of two more caves to decongest the rush of pilgrims, would be thrown open, sources added. ''During rush it is not possible to allow pilgrims to have darshan in the shrine through natural cave as it was time-consuming,'' M K Bhandari, Additional Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board told UNI. Mr Bhandari said during winters, the number of pilgrims is less as compared the summers, so the Shrine Board has decided to throw open the natural cave for the pilgrims. ''The cave after mild repairs, if any, will start functioning and devotees can pay obeisance at the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine through natural cave,'' Mr Bhandari added. Following rise in number of pilgrims from across the country, two new artificial caves were constructed years ago to decongest the heavy rush. |
