| Martyr day of Guru Tegh Bahadur observed | | |

Jammu, Nov 29: The ‘Sheedi Divas’ (martyr day) of Sri Teg Bahadur the ninth Sikh Guru was observed at village Gurdwara Chaffer check, block Marh with full religious fervour and gaiety here today.
The function was attended by a large number of people and took part in recitation of Shabad Kirtan.
Prominent Sikh religious preachar sant Tejwant Singh Ji from Dera Sant Pura Danna, Nanak Nagar who also happens to be the Patron-in-Chief Guru Gobind Study Circle J&K and chairman sant Bhai Khushal Singh (Muzzefrabad) welfare society highlighted the teaching of the Guru who sacrificed his life to save the cause of humanity in India and as such guru is being remembered as Guru Tegh Bahadur – Hindi- Di Chadder such type of sacrifice is not known to the history of the past nor can ever happen in future.
On this occasion Guru Gobind Singh study circle Jammu under the Patronship of Sant Tejwant Singh a Punjabi language competition of younger age group children was also held in which 63 children participated. Trophies and prizes were distributed to all the participants and achiever of first, second and third place.
Patron in chief stressed on acquiring knowledge of Punjabi language to understand Shabad Guru Sri Guru Granth Sahib and also teaching of Sikh Gurus.
Motto of Guru Gobind Singh study circle is to spread the message of universal brotherhood, world peace and prosperity of society.
The function concluded with Ardass and Guru Ka Langer was served.
