| Who deceived whom between Sheikhs: Delhi, Bhim to Kamal? | | |
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 29: Prof Bhim Singh, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party also an expert on historical development in J&K since 1947, in a friendly rejoinder to Dr. Kamal Mustafa, youngest son of late Sheikh Mohd. Abdulllah, asked him to join a debate on the question as to who deceived whom since 1947 in J&K and who was the real offender in the game of treachery, Delhi or Sheikhs, against the people of Jammu and Kashmir which ultimately led to the eruption of militancy and violence forcing the youth in Kashmir to take up guns against their own people.
Prof Singh expressed shock on the statement of Mustafa, accusing Delhi (Central Govts) for deceiving his father Sheikh Abdullah in 1975 vis-à-vis holding plebiscite in J&K. “It was in 1975 when Sheikh Abdullah signed an agreement with Delhi surrendering his ‘outdated’ and impractical demands like plebiscite in lieu of a petty job of Chief Minister-ship, 12 kanals of Urban land at Barzulla (which in fact was the property of one Kapoor), 10 kanals plot for NC journal Nuai Subh, recognition of his jail mates or detainees, as freedom fighters to be rewarded in cash and kind and lot of it. Sheikh was appointed as Chief Minister in 1975 even when he was not a MLA even, along with his second-in-Command, Mirza Afzal Baig. Kapoor and ailing wife were arrested in mid night by police and dragged to Jammu. No one knew about their end. Singh in his letter remind Kamal”.
Present houses occupied by Kamal, his brother Farooq, his sister and nephew Omar are situated in the land of Kapoor which was allotted to them in absolute violation of the Municipal rules and transfer of land laws. Omar a minor, so was his sisters were made illegal allotments next to Hari Niwas. Was that deception of Sheikh Abdullah or heavenly awards that has benefited to the entire family of the Sheikh including Kamal himself? Was that deception or reward, let you tell the world. Who betrayed the people? Let you decide.” Asked Bim Singh
Is it betrayal by Delhi that Kamal’s elder brother has become a Union Minister in Govt of India and Kamal,s unemployed nephew is a Chief Minister having less than one-third members in the Assembly? This is only because of the undue blessings of Delhi whom Sheikhs call they are betrayers! Prof. Singh tells Kamal, “Have a look on me; my father had 15000 acres of land and rules for years before that start of Dogra rule but as on on today, I have only 18 kanals of desert (kandi land) with no house and nothing though I have given full 50 years of my life for seeking justice to my people from the bloody rule. Be judicious, be courageous and kind to yourself and tell the truth who has deceived whom and why?” |
