Day long Youth Sameelan was held by Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) as a preparatory exercise for the proposed mass agitation likely to be started from December 11th, against criminal silence and delaying tactics of the state government in regards with implementation of PM’s special employment package announced on April, 2007 for the displaced youth. President YAIKS Pt. R. K. Bhat presided over the function and various organizational heads and youth representatives expressed resentment and concern against the biased attitude of the State Govt.
Speaking on the occasion Ashwani Chrangoo the President Panun Kashmir said the employment is a must for the survival of the community and no goal can be achieved empty stomach. He criticized the partial attitude of the Govt. and ridiculed political gimmicks being played with the community time and again. Expressing full faith and trust in the leadership of Pt. R. K. Bhat assured him all support from his organization. Convenor Kashmiri Hindu Conference P.L.Kaul Badgami said it is disappointing that the implementation of the package is being delayed on one pretext or the other without any reason and logic. It exposes the hidden agenda of the Govt. and various political parties to wipe out the community. K.K.Khosa Vice President Kashmiri Pandit Sabha expressed astonishment that the implementation of the package may have to go by legislation which will cause further delay in its execution and will cause trouble to the community youth. He stressed for the implementation of the said package on war footing to avoid the wrath of the community youth. S. K. Kaul KAS, the Retd. Additional Commissioner Sales Tax expressed anguish over the delay of the execution of the package and termed it ‘Justice delayed is Justice denied’ this way the Govt. is announcing the future generation of KP community who have played a commendable role in the building of Naya Kashmir. Ashok Sidha Ex-President and Veer Ji Pandita the General Secretary of Martand Sabha said that the Govt. this way is exposing itself and is displaying partiality by victimizing the community youth. They are provoking youth to opt for volatile path and is back stabbing the community youth instead of giving healing touch to them. Kashi Nath Bhat and D.N.Kissu pitted the Govt. attitude against the hapless community youth for delaying the implementation. Virander of AIKS, Deepak Kakroo of KPAC, Mohan Lal Kaul from Udhampur, S. P. Bhat also expressed full support to YAIKS in the proposed agitation and appeals the youth power to understand the gravity of situation.
Pt. R. K. Bhat in his presidential address mentions all efforts made during the years for the implementation of the package. He stressed for his positive and responsible approach with the State Govt., main stream political parties, the concerned Ministers Chief minister and H.E. the Governor of the State. We have always prayed for the mercy of the hapless youth who are unemployed and have not been considered during the last two decades. He charged the Govt. for having double standards, on one hand the Govt. assures for immediate implementation of the package but on the other hand nothing is being concretized for this long pending and core issue of the community.
