JMC realize Rs 2900 as fine from milk vendors

Jammu, Nov 30: Continuing its drive against the adulteration of milk, the municipal veterinary officer alongwith field staff visited areas of Bus Stand, Bikram Chowk, Satwari, Kunjwani, Trikuta Nagar and Gandhi Nagar and checked 75 numbers of milk canes in these areas, out of which 17 numbers of canes were lifted and sent to municipal laboratory to check the quality of milk. A fine of Rs 2900.00 was also realized from the erring milk vendors on spot, during inspection.
Beside this, the municipal veterinary officer alognwith team also visited Janipur, New Plot,k Amphalla, Prade, Residency road, Panama Chowk, Indra Chowk, Shahidi Chowk, Satwari Chowk, Gandhi Nagar areas and lifted nine numbers of stray animals. The stray animals were impounded to municipal cattle found and a fine of Rs. 1400.00 was realized from the owners of stray animals.
