| Influential, moneyed persons tries to grab widow’s land | | |

Jammu, Nov 30: A aged widow Raji Devi resident of village Kapoorpur of tehsil RS Pura in a complaint has leveled charges against one Sarwan Kumar of her village who is trying to acquire her land measuring 32 kanals and marlas 15 illegally and by force.
As per press release issued by the J&K Batwal welfare association the old lady has been threatened by the said person of the consequences if she approach legal authorities against him. She said the persons get her standing crop at worth thousands of rupees and added even the concerned police authorities has taken no action against him as he is very influential and moneyed person and has no respect for law of the land. Taking action on her complaint, the Batwal association has urged police and revenue authorities to intervene into the matter and save her and her land from the clutch of Sarwan Kumar.
