| Symposium on ‘changing face of media’ organized | | | Early Times Report
Basohli, Nov 30- A symposium ‘changing face of media’ was organized by the TIC Basholi here today. Naib Tehsildar, Madan lal Kerni was the chief guest while Headmistress Government Girls Middle School, Tripta Devi presided over the function.
As many as 14 students of the school took part in the symposium and read out their papers on the topic.
Samreen Bano of class 5th was declared the best speaker, while Lalit Singh of class 8th bagged 2nd position and third position was secured by Gufran of the same school.
Prizes were given to first three position holders by the information Department. Consolation prizes were also given to the participants.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that children are the future of the nation. He urged upon the teachers to prepare their students to fight against the social evils. He exhorted upon the students to take active part in extra curricular activities like wise their studies. He also appreciated the efforts of Information Department for organizing such type of programs by which the students are encouraged to take part in extra curricular activities.
Headmistress of the school presented vote of thanks and demanded that such type of more functions be organized in the school for the benefit of students.
