| MLA Jammu East holds interactive meeting with Mandi association | | |

BJP State President & Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria, accompanied by Distt. President Rajesh Gupta, visited Dry Fruits Mandi Complex in Jewel Chowk area of his constituency, held meeting with the Office Bearers of the Mandi Association and took stock of the problems being faced by them in their day-to-day work.
The Association had approached the MLA and requested him to personally pay visit to their area to have an on the spot assessment of the situation, the spokesperson said.
Association President S. Nanak Singh Dutta, General Secretary Vinod Gupta and Executive Member Mukesh Sharma, while briefing the MLA of their problems, said that the road inside the complex has not been properly maintained and as a result it is in a dilapidated condition and needs immediate repair and black topping.
The association leaders also told that the area do not have proper lighting and raise the issue construction of urinals and installation of hand pump inside the Mandi complex. Ashok Khajuria gave a patient hearing to what the Mandi Association office bearers brought into his notice and assured that their problems will be taken up with the concerned departments and make sure that the same are redressed at the earliest.
BJP leaders Parmodh Kapahi, Naresh Pradhan, Sunil Dogra, Karan Singh and Raju Phalwan were also present in the meeting.
