Smt. Gurdev Kaur, Director Prosecution was given a warm send off on her superannuation. Commissioner of vigilance P.L. Gupta commended the contribution of the DOP to the prosecution wing of J&K Police during her 33yrs of service.
Though she had a brief stint in the Vigilance Organisation yet she was able to make a mark of her dedication to duty and appreciation of law. Smt Kaur was the first lady prosecutor of the state police. She was appointed as prosecuting officer in 1977. She was deputed to Police Training College Phillaur, Punjab for the initial training, were she was adjudged as the best trainee. She worked in all the branches of J&K Police and is known for her simplicity and gentleness. The function was attended by all the staff officer's of the central office of SVO. The branch SSsP and prosecution staff. She was presented a memento by the Commissioner of Vigilance.
