| BCP extends support to agitating PDD daily wagers | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 1- Criticizing the state government of its dubious policy towards the employees, especially daily wagers, Rohit Bali, President, Bhartiya Chaitnya Party (BCP) has urged the government to come out with a white paper on its policy with regard to regularization of daily wagers in the state. Addressing agitating daily wage employees of the PDD at Janipur Power House here today Bali expressed solidarity with the agitating employees and assured them of his party’s full support. He demanded that the government must give compensation to the families of the deceased workers who died while discharging their duties. The victims should be paid compensation of Rs.10 lakhs, besides providing insurance cover to all the field workers. Bali alleged that there is obvious political interference in the recruitment of the Daily wagers in all departments of the state. Though the ministers say that the Daily wage appointments have been abandoned but in practice even today many influential people are appointing their favorites He warned the state government to keep a check on back- door- appointments otherwise the BCP will take it to the streets. State President, BCP also said that his organization will extend moral, political and every possible help to the poor agitating Daily wagers.
