| Inter-college symposium on pollution control held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 2: A inter college symposium organized by government MAM college, in coordination with the department of environment and remote sensing to mark the national pollution prevention day was held here today. The topic was pollution enemy of living beings. Principal, Prof. MS Baloria in his welcome address exhorted that it is the social and moral responsibility of every citizen to save humanity and mother earth from the menace of pollution. He appealed to all the youngsters to work with full zeal for a cleaner and greener environment. Registrar, University of Jammu Dr. PS Pathania who presided over the function highlighted the hazardous consequences of pollution and appealed to all the individuals for working towards protecting human health and environment Dy. Conservator department of environment and remote sensing RC Sharma also spoke on the occasion. The panel of judges included Prof. Kiran Raina, Prof. Rama Badyal and Prof. Anil Dhar. The first prize was won by Rakshit Sharma of GGM Science College, and the second and third prizes went to Tanvi Bhargav and Nitin Kesar of government MAM College. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to the guests by Dr. Twinkle Suri.
