Kawa celebrates world computer literacy day

Jammu, Dec 2: The ‘world computer literacy day’ was celebrated by Kawa Institute of management and technology here today. MLA, Sukhnandan Choudhary was the chief guest and Dr. Vinod Sharma Professor MCA department University of Jammu was the guest of honour, while Er. MS Katoch director of Kawa group presided over the function.
Suman Paul Kour, Vikrant Jasrotia, Diksha Kumari, Anil Katoch, Sonam Surinder were the students who delivered lectures on the subject and participated in the debate.
MLA Choudhary, Vinod Sharma, Anjana Bavoria centre head of Kawa institute of management and technology and others while expressing their views on the occasion said that this field needs more advancement in the state and appreciated the efforts made by Kawa institute in this direction. They also explained in detail the role of information technology in rural development and its urgency in present times for a common person.
Speaking on the occasion Katoch explained in detail, the role of IT / computer literacy in today’s world which is becoming globally oriented. He said like in other streams, information technology has made lankmark progress and has changed the whole scenario across the globe by generating employment opportunities for thousands of unemployed youth and simultaneously gearing up and acquainting them with latest information technology trends being adopted world wide. He impressed upon the people in general and students in particular to come forward and excel themselves in these fields and make their future prospects bright and as well discharge their active role in building this nation a modern one by placing it among the comity of powerful nations.
He reaffirmed that with the co-operation of the society, Kawa will leave no stone unturned in reaching to the common masses in rural areas by providing them computer/IT education at their door step and pave a smooth way for the youth of the state in corporate world.
