| YC expresses satisfaction over liberal funding for development of Ramnagar | | | Early Times Report Ramnagar, Dec 2- Ramnagar Unit of the Youth Congress has congratulated Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and R&B Minister G M Saroori for providing adequate funds under different schemes for the development of the area. The party at a meeting of its activities and presided over by Jag Mohan, Block Youth Congress President, Ramnagar said that this is for the first time that as many as 15 roads have been got approved for Ramnagar assembly segment in one go under PMGSY. The cumulative estimated cost of these works runs into more than Rs.100 crore. Addressing the workers Mulkh Raj, Senior District Vice-President expressed gratitude to Chairman DDB Udhampur for providing adequate funds in the recently concluded DDB meeting for road from Ramnagar to Udhampur via Johnu-Panjgrain, fulfilling the long-pending and overweening demand of the people of the area. He called for engagement of local wage-mates and labourers on the said roads so as to generate local employment vis-à-vis providing greater road connectivity to the people living in the area. Sushil Gupta, Block Youth Congress President, Majalta lamented that people in Ramnagar are still without basic facilities like drinking water, regular power supply, road connectivity, healthcare and proper educational infrastructure. Bihari Lal, Block Youth Congress President, Dudu-Basantgarh called for taking up tourism related works in Basantgarh as the area possess immense tourism potential.
