| Charges framed against Assistant Compiler GP Fund | | |

Jammu, Dec 03- Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu JR Kotwal today framed corruption charges against Shama Bakshi, who was posted as Assistant Complier in GP Fund Office, Gangyal, Jammu, in abuse of his official position demanding Rs 5000 as illegal gratification from Swarna Devi widow of Kuldeep Singh for clearing her deceased-husband’s GP Fund case pending in Fund Office.
On September 23, 2008 in the course of trap laid by the Vigilance Organization in the office on a complaint, she in furtherance of above-demand and in abuse of her official position demanded and obtained Rs 5000 as illegal gratification and was caught red-handed.
The Anti Corruption Court framed charges against the accused under 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) PC Act and 161 RPC and directed the prosecution to lead its evidence on the next date of hearing fixed for January 18, 2010. JNF
