| Com. Poonch Brigade flags off children’s tour | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 4- Carrying forward the spirit of ‘Sadbhavna’, Army has been undertaking various projects to reach out to the common people residing in the far-flung areas in Jammu and Kashmir. In continuation with its educational drive the Poonch Brigade sponsored11-day educational tour for the children of Khari Karara village of border Poonch to Rajasthan which was flagged off today by Commander, Poonch Brigade. The tour comprising twenty students and two teachers aims at a composite learning process by providing the students an exposure to places of historical and simultaneously witness the development and growth of other states. The children during the tour will get an opportunity to visit famous historical monuments such as the Ajmer Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Albert Hall, Hawa Mahal, Umaid Bhawan palace and Meharangarh Fort along with the famous Khwaja Moin-Ud-Din Chisti Dargah at Ajmer and the Pushkar Lake. The educational tour will endeavour to inspire the students and also foster a spirit of national integration among the young impressionable minds. The awareness developed amongst the children regarding the positive effects of peace and harmony will ensure that terrorism is eradicated and deeper bonds of faith and friendship established between the Army and the Awaam.
