| Mahajan lays foundation stone of school building | | | JAMMU OCT-06
Peoples Democratic Party leader and MLC Ved Mahajan laid the foundation stone of Primary school building at Pargalta in Nagrota constituency at an impressive function today.
As a good will gesture two locals Munshi Ram and Kali Ram donated 17 marlas of land for the purpose.
The foundation stone was laid amidst chanting of Vedic Shalokas and performing of Havan and other rituals.
Addressing the gathering Mahajan enumerated the measures taken by the coalition government in spreading the education network in the State especially in far flung and rural areas and appealed the people to maintain peace and tranquility pre-requisite for speedy development of the State.
Hari Ram Verma, Panch Baldev Krishan, Dr Ram Nath, Subash Chander, Sansar Chand, Sadar Ali, Ishaq Mohammed were among those present at the function.
