| Four accused arrested, stolen property recovered | | |

Police today arrested four persons involved in a theft case and recovered the stolen property from their possession.
Acting on a complaint lodged by Vipon Nischel son of late Kedar Nath resident of Gandhi Nagar that some thieves struck his house and decamped with gold and silver, SHO Police Station Gandhi Nagar Gian Sharma swung into action and raided several localities to nab the accused.
During a raid in the Shastri Nagar area, the SHO arrested four non-residents presently putting up at Shamshan Ghat Shastri Nagar and during interrogation they confessed that they had stolen the goods from a Gandhi Nagar residence.
The stolen property including seven tolas of gold and 14 kg of silver were recovered from the slums of accused persons located at cremation ground.
The accused arrested include Baturee son of Shiegh Singh of Gata Mandi Allahabad, Salata son of Zabra resident sof Gujrat Ahmedabad, Anil son of Azad resident of Gujrat and Kala son of Mandla of Manik Pur district Bandha .
A case FIR NO 236 /06 u/s 4576/RPC stands registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and the investigation of the case is going on, the reports said.
