| AISF organizes photo exhibition on freedom fighters | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5- A photo exhibition was organized by All India Students Federation (AISF) at VIT College here today to pay homage to freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country. The exhibition was inaugurated by R K Anand, managing director of the college. AISF president Dr Vimal Manhas and general secretary Raiz Atish were also present on the occasion. In his address, the chief guest said that students and youth of 21st century were facing many challenges in changing scenario of the world economy and market and under such circumstances they need to be educated with the exemplary characters like our freedom fighters. Dr Manhas in his speech said that true story of 1857 Indian uprising has to be constructed from the account of contemporary British historians and chronicles for educating the young generation. Raiz Aatish while highlighting his view point said that many unsung heroes were neglected in the history and archives and they must be honoured. He also assured that such photo exhibitions of freedom movement heroes will be organized in other educational institutions of Jammu to educate the young generation.
