| BJYM ridicules government claims of development | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5- Ridiculing the claims of the government about the development being done by it, BJYM State Vice-president Vijay Choudhary said that the condition of most of interiors of residential colonies is pathetic and deplorable. Citing the example of Rajinder Nagar Phase-II (Bantalab), he said that the condition of the colony is what it had been since its establishment by JDA. Even the fact that the colony has been set up by JDA, did not make any difference to the civic amenities in the colony. There is no drainage system, no proper motor able roads and cleaning manpower available in the colony. Choudhary pointed out that the condition of interior roads can be gauged by seeing the main road connecting Durga Nagar with Swarn Vihar which is the main thorough fare in the area. The vehicles can not move on it without sustaining damage. A mild rainfall results in the flooding of all roads and houses, as there is no drainage system yet put in place. JDA after having collected huge sums of money from gullible public and handing over them plots forgot the rest of its obligations and duties breaking promises made by it at the time of offering the plots for sale. Choudhary appealed the concerned authorities including PWD, JDA and JMC to discharge their prime responsibilities towards Jammuites, especially the residents of Rajinder Nagar and provide them minimum modern amenities of roads and drains. He said the in case these agencies fail to perform, the Yuva Morcha shall be forced to take to streets.
