| Are displaced KPs out of RTI purview, PK asks | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 5: The ‘Panun Kashmir’ (PK) has condemn the attempt of the present government to deprive lakhs of state subjects of Jammu and Kashmir state from the purview of Right to Information Act (RTA) passed by the state Assembly. As per the statement of chairman, PK Ajay Chrangoo the recently passed act all persons residing outside Jammu and Kashmir will be excluded from the Jurisdiction and application of the act. It means thousands of internally displaced Kashmiri Hindus and other persons belonging to state as well as lakhs of Indian tourists visiting the state will be deprived of the benefits of Act. Panun Kashmir sees the entire support of the act as exclusivist in content and discriminatory in nature. PK has time and again tried to bring to the notice of government of India about the deliberate policy of the state government to exclude Kashmiri Hindus from all spheres of administration and constitutional jurisdiction. He said through a deliberate process of hiding the facts, distortion of facts and denial of genocide the state government has so far successfully blocked the implementation of the employment package for displaced Kashmiri Hindus. The framing of Right to Information Act for the state in such a way that it excludes Kashmiri Hindus living outside Jammu and Kashmir from the purview of the Act is an infringement of fundamental rights and to keep them out of the state permanently. PK will mobilize opinion in the entire country and explore legal options to stop the implementation of the highly discriminatory right to information act in the state, he said.
