18 injured in mishaps, five structures gutted

Srinagar, Dec 5: Eighteen person including five in valley reportedly were injured in various road mishaps in Jammu and Kashmir in last 24c hrs Five persons were injured while five number of structures, including mess of Army Engineers were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here today.
Sources said that fifteen persons were injured in different road accidents in Jammu.
A Maruti car was hit by Army vehicle at Jagti, resulting in injuries to three persons. All the injured were rushed to GMC for treatment.
Twelve other persons were admitted in GMC Jammu after they were injured in different road accidents in Jammu region.
Meanwhile they added that in an accident which took place between Maruti car and a Scooter on National Highway near Shampora Petrol Pump, resulting in injuries to Scooterist namely Mohammad Iqbal Malik son of Abdul Aziz Malik resident of Dooru. The injured was hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One unknown vehicle hit and injured one pedestrian namely Jigar widow of Ghulam Mohammad Kala resident of Gulshanabad Firdous Colony Bemina at SDA Complex Bemina. The injured lady was hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
A Scooter hit and injured one pedestrian namely Ali Mohammad Najar son of Abdul Aziz resident of K. P. Road Anantnag at K. P. Road Anantnag. The injured was hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One Alto car was hit by an unknown speedy truck at Frastabal Pampore, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Manzoor Ahmad Sofi resident of Kadlabal and Muzamil Rasool Ganie resident of Quil Pulwama.. Both the injured were hospitalized. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Meanwhile a fire broke out in the joint cowshed of Nasir Ahmad Lone and Bashir Ahmad Lone sons of Gulam Mohi-ud-Din resident of Sheikh Pora Bomie, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Sopore. The cowshed was completely damaged in the incident. Cause of fire is being ascertained.
Reports said a fire alos broke out at QRT quarters of Chief Engineer Officers mess 31st zone near Sonawar. One wooden barrack was damaged in the incident. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident. Cause of fire yet to be ascertained.
In an accidental fire two residential houses and cowshed of Ghulam Qadir Malik and Ali Mohammad Malik sons of Ramzan Malik got partially damaged at village Urvan, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pulwama, No loss of life or injury was reported in the incident.
However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the incident, they said, adding the cause of the fire was not known.
