| Mission10X launched in J&K | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 6- Mission10X formally launched its first program in Jammu and Kashmir by conducted 5- day workshop for engineering faculty members of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Model Institute of Engineering & Technology and Government College of Engineering & Technology. The launch of the program in Jammu and Kashmir is part of Wipro’s commitment towards sustainable social development. Formally launched on Teachers Day, September 5 2007, Mission10X is a fast growing community of learners and innovators. The program involves a layered set of capability building workshops to help engineering faculty nurture talent pool across the country. Prof. NK Bansal, Vice Chancellor of the host institution Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University said “The quality of education is intrinsically linked to the socio-economic development of any region and who can be better change agents or facilitators than teachers. An initiative like Mission10X will give these facilitators the requisite exposure and will go a long way to groom the students for competitiveness of the industry in the globalize world of today. We are hopeful that this workshop is the first of many to come and will play the role of a catalyst for the development of our state.” Speaking on the occasion, Nagarjuna S Head Mission10X said, “We are happy to see the positive response Mission10X is receiving from the academic institutions all over India. The state of Jammu and Kashmir has a lot of latent potential in form of raw talent - be it students or teachers. Thus, the need of the hour is a mechanism to unlock that potential and we are confident that Mission10X will bring about a significant leap in the journey of enhancing employability skills of engineering graduates through the faculty in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.”
