| Employment Policy a landmark, visionary document: Rana | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Dec 6-State Government’s Sher-e-Kashmir Employment Policy is a landmark historic policy which will change the economy of the state and gainfully engage the unemployed youth of the state, said Devender Singh Rana, Political Advisor to Chief Minister, while addressing members of the Self Help Group of Katal Batal area in Nagrota Assembly constituency, here today.
He said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has taken a historic step by unveiling a policy which will address the genuine aspirations of the unemployed. “This is for the first time in the history of the state that the government has come out with a road map to tackle the menace of unemployment which is plaguing the state for the last many decades”, Rana said and added that the policy is a visionary document which when implemented in letter and spirit will satiate the aspirations of the unemployed particularly those who are poor and living in far flung remote areas of the state.
He said political parties in the past have been indulging in political sloganeering and making hollow schemes about tackling the issue of unemployment, but Omar Abdullah with his realistic and objective thought process has laid out a policy. He hailed Omar Abdullah for stating that he is open for debate and discussion on the policy. He said the milestone is that the first step in this direction has been taken by the National Conference- Congress coalition government under the leadership of Omar Abdullah which will change the politico-economic scope of the state and go a long way in the social upliftment of the people of the state.
Rana appealed to the people of the state to rise above political ideologies and political beliefs and join hands in this endeavour of Omar Abdullah’s government to make this scheme a success so that the problems of unemployment which is a nation wide problem is tackled in the state.
