| BJP to woo masses against Quiet Diplomacy | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: To mobilize public opinion on the "Quiet Diplomacy" issue as also to take stock of the ongoing organizational elections, BJP State General Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas chaired meetings at Gajansoo and Sua No. 1 falling in Marh and Raipur -Domana assembly Constituencies respectively. While addressing these meetings at the said places, Manhas said that the reported move of the Congress-led UPA to hold talks with the separatists under "Quiet Diplomacy" without taking into confidence the mainstream political parties and people of Jammu and Ladakh has send doubtful signals across the country. It seems that the UPA has made up its mind to grant concessions to such elements which have all along been advocating pre-1953 position, independence and openly indulging in seditious activities. Manhas said the BJP welcomes peace process with the Pakistan but at the same time it opposes any such move which weakens India’s sovereignty over Jammu and Kashmir or which demoralizes the security and the nationalist forces in the state and warned the UPA not to bow before separatists, and to concentrate on strengthening all such forces which stand for State’s full integration with rest of the country. Shamsher Singh Manhas, disclosed that the party has decided to reach the masses and make them aware of the dangerous move of the UPA, which no nation loving person will ever endorse. He said the BJP will organize 1-day massive programme at Jammu on December 13 and such programmes will be organized in other districts as well in the coming days. Distt. President Col (Retd.) Uttam Singh, MLAs Ch. Sukhnandan and Bharat Bhushan, Mandal Presidents S.Harjit Singh, Ram Lal Sharma, Joginder Singh, Ajit Singh and Shakti Sharma also addressed these meetings
