| City Police works out forgery case at local garment shop | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: City Police today claimed to have worked out cheating and forgery case by an employee of a local garment store Monalisa. A case FIR No. 92/09 u/s 420/RPC was registered at Police Station City, by apprehending the accused along with his mother and also recovered Rs.4.65 lakhs. According to police one Ajay Kumar son of Sunil Sambyal resident of Keri Rabta Akhnoor at present Janipur, who impersonated himself as Chetan Anand son of Ram Nath of102 Janipur some how managed job with Monalisa group and was working in account branch. Taking an opportunity he had stolen 20 cheques and gone missing. Later when owner checked his bank statements he found lot of cash withdrawn from his account. After this he lodged a complaint with P/S city on which case was registered. Investigation was taken up and it was found that one of employees of Monalisa was not coming to office for few days on this lead we tried to locate the suspect at his residence wherefrom it was found that he along with his family had shifted from Jammu to some other place. Search of suspect was started through out India. Though it was a difficult job to trace as there was no permanent address moreover he along with his family members was staying in Jammu on fake names i.e. Chetan Anand. Mother of accused namely Rita Rani wife of Sunil Sambyal is equally involved in conspiring and they were changing their locations after every couple of days, After they left Jammu they stayed at Delhi for some time thereafter shifted to Haryana, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Jallandhar and finally reached Ropar, Punjab. The said accused Ajay was apprehended along with his mother, who was accomplice in this case, the police sources added. The police maintained that the accused had withdrawn Rs. 5.37 lakhs out of which Rs. 4, 65, 950 along with two mobile phones have been recovered from him. Some fake documents have also been recovered from their possession besides cash. Questioning is going on some more recoveries are expected, the police sources added.
