| | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 7: Home Guard Civil Defence a voluntary force created to deal with the internal security of the country especially of security of vital installations etc observed its raising day throughout the country yesterday. Like other parts of the country the raising day of the force was observed with full enthusiasm by the 2nd Bn of auxiliary police force holding impressive parade along with homeguard and civil defence personal. The chief guest on the occasion was director general police, Kuldeep Khoda who took the salute at the march past. IGP of the force S. Gopal Reddy on the occasion read out the message of president of India and prime minister. On the occasion chief guest Khoda awarded presidents home guard civil defence meritorious service medal to the members of civil defence belonging to Jammu province. On the occasion DIG, HG/CD/Axp PR Manhas conveyed vote of thanks on behalf of the organization to the chief guest, the senior police/ civil officers, the retired police officers, organizing committee, members of media faculty, the members of civil defence demonstration team, medical department, district police, traffic police and security for assisting them in making the program a successful event.
