Jammu Dec 7: BJP MLA from Jammu West Constituency Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta alongwith Mandal President Chander Mohan Gupta and BJYM state General Secretary Sanjay Baru today extensively toured W.No. 40 and inspected a number of developmental words being undertaken in different areas of the ward.
During his visit Prof. Gupta, visited Durga Nagar, Bharat Nagar, Basant Vihar and Kabir Nagar, where the black topping of the roads and lanes has recently been completed. He inquired about the quality of the material being used for purpose from the local nhabitants and said that their long pending demand has know been fulfilled.
Prof. Gupta also visited the Ravi Dass Mandir in Kabir Colony and inspected the work being undertaken for construction of a community hall in the premises for which he has made available funds from CDF.
A number of deputations also met the MLA during his visit and apprised of the problems of these localities. They urged upon the MLA to get the construction of lanes and drains and black topping of roads started so that they to are relieved of the years old problems. Prof. Gupta while talking to the members of the deputations said that six hand pumps and water supply pipes have been laid in Bharat Nagar and Tirth Nagar due to which the shortage of water supply have been lessoned to some extent and in the coming days the supply will further improve. He told them the black-topping in the by-lanes will be taken up in phased manner after the winters.
BJP leaders including Distt. Secretary Munish Khajuria, Raj Kumar, Davinder Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Parveen Ghai, Sanjeev Gupta, Viru Ram, Tej Ram, Faqir Chand, Rashpal Singh and Ajay Gupta were also present while Prof. Gupta interacted with the inhabitants of W.No. 40.
