| HC recalled ex-parte proceedings against Azad | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, December-08: In a petition challenging the election of Saif-ud-Din Soz (MP Rajya Sabha), Ghulam Nabi Azad (Presently Union Health Minister), Dr. Farooq Abdullah (presently Union Minister New and Renewable Energy) Mohd Shafi Uri (MP Rajya Sabha) filed by Harsh Dev Singh MLA Leader of Panthers Legislature Party, the High Court on August 21, 2009 set ex-parte against Ghulam Nabi Azad. Adv B S Salathia moved CMP for setting-aside the Ex-Parte proceedings taken against Ghulam Nabi Azad. Justice Sunil Hali of J&K High Court Jammu Wing after hearing the counsel of respondent and observed that in view of the averments made in the CMP, the same is allowed, ordered dated August 21, 2009 so far as it relates to initiation of ex-parte proceedings against Ghulam Nabi Azad is recalled and directed that respondent filed objection on or before the next date of hearing which is December 31, 2009.
