Adbi Kunj hold literary-cum-poetic meet

Adbi Kunj J&K, Jammu held a literary cum poetic meet at its literary centre New Shastri Memorial H/S School Talab Tillo which was presided over by Shri Sushil Bali an eminent figure in the field of literature & journalism and Editor Quartely multi lingual magazine“Srashti Kalyan” & fortnightly Urdu newspaper “Mera Khayal”. The proceedings were conducted by Talib Kashmiri, General Secretary, Adbi Kunj.
At the outset Sham Talib, President, Adbi Kunj introduced Sushil Bali to the participants and briefly threw light on his literary and journalistic achievements. Glowing tributes were paid today to the towering political personality Sheri Kashmir Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah on his 104th birth anniversary (Dec 5) and Dr. Bhimrao Ambhedkar, the architect of Indian constitution on his 53rd death anniversary (Dec 6) and their outstanding contribution to the nation were remembered. Rich tributes were also paid by Talib Kashmiri to Mir Shams-ud.-din Hasrat Pandani a well known Persian poet from the Valley on his 41st death anniversary( Dec 6). Condolences were also expressed over the sad demise recently of the mother of well known Dogri writer & commentator Madan Lal Padha.
In the prose session Talib Kashmiri read his story in Urdu story titled “ Vishwas ” making a dig at those self styled religious preachers who feel no qualms to exploit the gullible common man in furtherance of their vested selfish interests. Rajeshwar Bhakri presented an interesting satirical Hindi story with a good tinge of humour titled “Haan Mein Biwa Se Darta Hoon”, while Rakesh Tript read his Dogri write-up “Pere Kande Pecha Karo”. K. L. Dubey Deewana read a Punjabi spiritual article captioned “Mera Man Udaas” while Sham Talib presented an Urdu sketch “ Tum Nahin Aaye”.
In the poetry session those who read their poems, ghazals and songs etc. included Maharaj Krishen, Rajiv Kumar, Sushil Bali, Com. Jaswant Singh , K. L. Dubey Diwana, Tayyab Bharti, Muni Lal Puri, Rajeshwar Bhakri, S. Rakesh Kumar Tript, and Sham Talib. The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief Organiser, Adbi Kunj .The participants also prayed for speedy recovery of the ailing father of Sushil Begana, Secretary, Adbi Kunj.
