| 7 of marriage party among 10 dead in road accidents | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu Dec 8: At least ten persons have been reported dead while 48 others injured in different road mishaps today across Jammu region. Among the dead are seven members of a marriage party.
Reports reaching here said that one Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK14A/3542 on way from Baggar to Batote carrying a Baraat (marriage party) rolled down at Buddi Marshi today, resulting on spot death of five persons and injuries to twelve persons. Injured were shifted to sub district hospital Batote for treatment where two more are reported to have succumbed. Police has registered a case in this regard.
In another incident, one Bus bearing registration number JK02D/8897 on way from Surankote to Poonch skidded of the road into Nallah near Khanetar today, resulting on spot death of one persons namely Mohammad Sharief son of Mangta Khan resident of Bafliaz and injuries to thirty two persons. Injured were shifted to district hospital Poonch for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard.
Shalu Devi wife of Pritam resident of Raipur, who was admitted in GMC after injuries in road mishap at Raipor has expired.
One truck bearing registration number JK03/0455 driven by Mohammad Shafi Ganie son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of Sanpura hit a person namely Gagan Singh son of Rajinder Singh resident of Gorkha Nagar, resulting in his on spot death. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One BSF truck bearing registration number JK01N/1412 on way from Jammu to Srinagar driven by constable Nihal Singh of 9th Bn. on reaching Gangroo National Highway-IA collided with WagnoR bearing registration number JK2AG/9124 which was coming from opposite side, resulting in injuries to two persons namely Kultar Kour wife of Mashoor Singh and Basant Kour wife of Prithvi Singh resident of Digiana Jammu. Injured were shifted to district hospital Ramban. Police has registered a case in this regard.
One Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK014/2939 on way from Jyotipuram to Bidda collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14/2916 which was on way from opposite side at Kashria near Jotipuram, resulting in on spot death of motorcyclist namely Dalip Singh son of Swaran Singh resident of Bidda and injuries to his pillion mate . Injured was shifted to NHPC hospital for treatment. Sumo driver arrested.
One Tipper on way from Ram Nagar towards Gurlang hit a pedestrian namely Anu Sharma daughter of Om Parkash resident of Dalsar. Injured was shifted to sub district hospital Ramnagar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard
