| Functions held to mark Sonia Gandhi’s birthday in Doda | | | Early Times Report
DODA, Dec 9- Several functions were held across Doda district to celebrate the 69th birth day of AICC President and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
District Congress Committee at a function organized under the chairmanship of MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta, who is also district president DCC Doda, celebrated the day with great pomp and show. Large number of Congress workers and civil society members participated in the function and wished all the best for future ventures to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and prayed for her long life.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta described Sonia Gandhi as the tallest leader of the country who brought revolution in the country by taking many developmental works all around the country and uplift the downtrodden masses and united all communities without any caste ,color and cast . Gupta said that it is Sonia Gandhi who is working day and night for the welfare of the people and strengthened Congress at gross root level .He prayed for her long life.
D P Dogra, Abdul Kabir Malik, Shiv Kumar Kotwal , Saima Malik ,Shafi Ganai ,Rajesh Kumar Rattan Javed Azad President Bhaderwah Municipal Committee were also present on the occasion..
The district unit of National Students Union of India also celebrated the Birthday of Sonia Gandhi at a simple but impressive function held in the premises of Government Degree College under the chairmanship of its President Mohammed Sajid Malik
