| Kashmiri Pandits pooh-pooh job policy | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 9- The Supreme Council of Panun Kashmir in a meeting held on the eve of Global Human Rights Day and chaired by Dr. Agnishekhar has strongly flayed government’s dilly dallying tactics to address the burning issues of displaced Kashmiri Pandit community
The meeting felt that though the displaced community, against whom genocide has been established and recognized, neither the State of India has done nothing to reverse the exodus nor it has adopted any remedial measure for the same.
‘The cultural genocide, historical distortions, erasing of the signs and evidences of genocide , rechristening the names of Kashmiri places, towns, villages etc; deliberate inaction to protect Hindu shrines and temples , most of them of historical importance , are a few examples of the communal agenda of the Government in power to facilitate total Islamisation of Kashmir and thus denying the basic fundamental rights and liberties as guaranteed and enshrined in the Indian Constitution to Kashmiri Pandits’, the PK maintained..
The meeting strongly condemned the criminal neglect by the Central Government and the State Government, in every field right from providing employment to thousands of unemployed Kashmiri Pandit youth , over age relaxation enhancement of relief amount proportionate to the spiraling high prices of essential commodities , denying partaking and due share in the State’s budgetary allocations for economic development, denying payment of HRA and CC allowances already decided by the High Court in favour of the displaced employees.
Terming the recently announced employment policy by the State Government as farce, being a mockery and a deception, the PK said that for the much talked of the Prime Minister’s employment package for the KP youth nothing has been done in practice, proving the much publicized package as a crude joke.
