| Soz takes up Kargil issues in Rajya Sabha | | | Early Times Report
Jammu Dec 9: Prof. Saifuddin Soz, MP (former Union Minister) and President, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee raised the difficulties faced by the people of Kargil due to closure of Zojila pass in the Rajya Sabha, during the Question Hour today.
According to the press statement issued from New Delhi Prof. Soz told the House that there is urgent need of constructing a tunnel at Zojila to make Srinagar-Leh road via kargil an All-weather Road. Prof. Soz emphasized that the construction of a tunnel at Zojila would bring great relief to the people of Kargil and other parts of Ladakh and also bring comfort to the Armed Forces.
The Chairman ruled that the matter may also be taken up with the Minister who should go into question minutely. The Minister Shri Mahadev Khandela said that he would examine the issue and get back to Prof. Soz, the statement said.
