| PCC celebrates Sonia Gandhi’s birthday | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 9: The Pradesh Congress Committee, (PCC) celebrated birthday of AICC president and UPA chairman Sonia Gandhi at an impressive function organized at the PCC HQ Shahidi Chowk, here today.
Senior functionaries of PCC, Minister, legislators, office bearers of DCC (urban) Jammu and frontal organizations were amongst others who attended the function and distributed sweets on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion senior leaders congratulated Sonia Gandhi and prayed for her good health and long life. Speakers described her a dynamic leader who took reign of the party at a crucial time and party is strengthened today because of her dynamism and spirit of sacrifice, beside she also gave new direction to the party and adopted pro-people and pro-poor policies firmly moving on the path of secularism as a result Congress has become popular choice of the people of all sections in the country today.
Senior leaders Pt. Mangat Ram Sharma, Dharam Pal Sharma, Hari Singh, Yas Pal Khajuria, Mula Ram, Prem Sagar Aziz asked the party workers to strengthen the party under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi.
Minister for medical education RS Chib on the occasion praised the qualities of leadership of Gandhi and her spirit of sacrifice which is an example before the nation. He said that youth of the country is inspired by her leadership and of Rahul Gandhi.
