| Jammu United beaten by Police `B’ | | Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 9: Jammu United today suffered a 0-3 defeat in the hands of Jammu and Kashmir Police-B in the first round of pre-quarterfinals in the ongoing Sher-e-Kashmir Gold Cup Football Tournament at GGM Science College ground, here today.
Showing their complete domination, Policemen clad in white jersey got the first break through when Zulfikar Ali in the 32nd minute. The lead was improved further with Manzoor Ahmed adding second goal two minute latter netting the ball in the 34th minute.
Leading by two goals at the end of first half, Police-B side kept on attacking the opponent goal post but without any result. However, in the dying 65th minute of the 70-minute game, Police added yet another goal. This time, Parvesh Kumar defeated the advancing goal-keeper to make it a big 3-0 win for the side.
Finding the match slipping out of their hands, Jammu United played some foul play and subsequently got punished by the centre referee, R K Singh of the BSF. Sanjay Kumar was shown red card in the 67th minute. Earlier, Neeraj Singh was shown a yellow card for creating deliberate obstacles.
Kamaljeet Singh, Robin Dorje and Pankaj Kumar were other officials, who conducted the match.
Earlier, in another match of the day, NGR XI got walkover SRTC XI, which failed to report the venue.
