Jammu, Dec 10 : Police arrested one person and recovered two kidnapped girls from his possession from Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, sources here said.
''Two girls identified as Mumtaz, 16 and Rehana, 11, both residents of Bhatindi, were recovered yesterday from Budhal area of Rajouri district by the police team dispatched from here,'' a senior police official said this morning.
He said both the minor girls were kidnapped from Bhatindi area on city outskirts three days back while one person identified as Bashir Malik, a truck driver, resident of Budhal, has also been arrested for kidnapping the siblings.
''After conducting medical examination, the girls have been handed over to the family members while a case has been registered and investigations are in progress,'' police said.
