| Taj Group enter Kashmir’s hospitality arena | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, DEC 10: Chief Minister, Mr. Omar Abdullah has reiterated his Government’s determination to encourage private investment in the State to give boost to Industrialization and generation of wide ranging economic activities. “Local business houses can play a important role in roping in outside investors by engaging them in joint ventures”, he added. The Chief Minister was speaking at a MoU singing functioning between Taj Croup of Hotels and SAIFCO, Srinagar for a joint venture in hotel industry at Kralsangri this evening. Mr. Omar said that the joint venture by SAIFCO and Taj Group of Hotels is a welcome step and expressed the hope that other business and Industrial houses of the State will also venture in state’s economy and create handsome job market for youth by entering in joint ventures with major players in the fields of Industry and economy in the State. The Chief Minister said that the Government is also looking forward for partnership with Private investors in health, education, tourism, road communication, power generation, software engineering and agro based ventures and other public utility. The Public Private Partnership (PPP) made of ventures in the State could prove highly beneficial for the people as well as the investors. Speaking on the occasion, the Vice President Business and Corporate Affairs of Taj Group of Hotel, Mr. D.K. Beri highly appreciated the warm response of the State to the joint project started by Taj Group in the state with SAIFCO. The MoU was signed by the Chairman of SAIFCO, Khawaja Saif-ud-Din and Mr. D> K. Beri on behalf of Taj Group of Hotels.
