| Salathia inaugurates JCC Bank extension counter at Tiryath | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 10: The Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjit Singh Salathia inaugurated the extension counter of the Jammu central cooperative bank (JKCCB) at Tiryath (Kalakote) in district Rajouri today. Speaking on the occasion he said that this was the long pending demand of the public of the area to provide them banking facilities and the JCC Bank which is a premier institution in the cooperative sector in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and is catering the need of the rural masses particularly the farming community, has agreed to provide banking facilities through this extension counter. He asked the people of the area to bank with the JCC Bank so that the management of the bank is impressed upon to convert this extension counter into a full-fledged branch of the bank and public at large is able to enjoy the facilities to its fullest extent. He also issued instructions to the concerned departments for early execution of the work of bridge at Tiryath as the people of the area are facing lot of problems particularly the ailing and student community. Chairman of the JCC Bank Mohinder Singh while speaking on the occasion disclosed that this is the 14th extension counter of the bank and apprised that bank is already having at network of 66 branches in Jammu Province. He further said that the total deposits of the bank as on date have crossed the figure of Rs. 800.00 crores with advances to the extent of Rs. 294.47 crores. He assured that as and when the deposit of this extension counter touches the figure of Rs. 2.00 crores, bank would convert this extension counter into a full fledged branch. MLA Rachpal Singh also spoke on the occasion.
