| JKHRW celebrates human rights day | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Nov 10: On the occasion of ‘human rights day’, a function was organized by the J&K Human Rights Watch (JKHRW) along with Jammu youth welfare action committee at Janipur here today. The state chairman of JKHRW BL Kapoor was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering Kapoor said, that the day has much importance in the democratic setup and no country can run without human rights. He said our nation a free country having freedom has provided Human Rights to its citizens. Kapoor further said that state of Jammu and Kashmir has been facing much hardship due to militancy and rampant corruption going on in the state for the last years together even then our state of Jammu and Kashmir is on the progressive as the corruption and the militancy activities have been declined by the sincere efforts of the present government. He appealed the people to watch and have knowledge about their rights so that the main power which is called biggest weapon to crush the violation and injustice meted out by corrupt element and vested interest persons that is called Human Rights but it is necessary to know about the rights so that the challenges and difficulties and similar types of action could be faced. Other prominent who spoke on the occasion were Amit Kapoor, Poonam Gupta, Viney Gupta, Sarika Bhasin, Deepak Kapoor, S. Surinder Singh, Mohd Ramzan, Nazir Ahmed and Vikas Sharma.
