| Tibetan youth organize function at Leh | | | Early Times Report Leh, Dec 10: To celebrate the 20th years of conferring noble prize to Dalai Lama and also to commemorate “Thank You India” for completing 50 years of political asylum of Tibetan Youth Congress Leh today organized a grand function at SOS village Choglamsar, here today. The chief executive councilor, LAHDC, Leh Chering Dorje was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Dorje said that the people of Ladakh and Tibetans sharing a great affinity in terms of religious, culture and dialect and as such the relationship between the Ladakhis and Tibetans during the past 50 years was quite congenial and we should uphold the same spirit of mutual understanding, he added. Dorje said that the majority of the world supporting the Dalai Lama’s middle path concept of struggle for Tibet’s freedom and he was much hopeful that Tibetan people who have been suffering with an exiled-life would get an opportunity to return their homeland in the future. Earlier, the chief representative of his holiness the Dalai Lama in Ladakh, Bhuchung Tashi delivered the welcome address and extended gratitude to the government of India and the people of India for providing political asylum to the Tibetan refugees for the last 50 years. To mark the occasion, a variety cultural show was presented by the artists of Tibetan refugees.
