| Bhalla addresses water woes of Greater Jammu colony | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, DEC 10: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Mr. Raman Bhalla has said that Government is committed to develop remote and downtrodden areas of the State at par with towns and cities. The Minister said this while addressing the gathering at Greater Jammu colony, here this afternoon. To improve drinking water facilities in Greater Jammu, Mr. Bhalla asked concerned PHE engineers to lay water supply pipes in the uncovered areas of the locality. He announced Rs. 6 lakh for this purpose. Mr. Bhalla said that the Government has taken up various new water supply schemes in the Jammu to provide adequate drinking water facilities to the people. He said commissioning of water supply scheme Sitlee Phase-II has improved the supply in the Jammu city. Later, the Minister visited Govindpura Kulian and paid obeisance at the shrine of Peer Baba and prayed for peace and prosperity of the State.
