The students and the research scholars from different departments unanimously welcomed move of Vice- Chancellor University of Jammu Prof. Varun Sahani for handing over the command of security of JU to Jammu and Kashmir police.
Expressing his views Waheed Ahmed, a student of The Law School opined that keeping in view the past few incidents that took place in the varsity it is necessary that the security of the University be supervised by some trained persons who can tackle the situation in becoming worst as it is observed that local security of the University failed at every aspect.
