| Hussain orders action against 28 absentee health officials | | |
Srinagar, October 07 – Minister of State for Health and Power, Peer Mohammad Hussain today paid a surprise visit of Sub-District Hospital, Pampore and ordered strict action against 28 medical officials including six doctors who were found unauthorisedly absent from duty. He directed Director Health Services to transfer these officials to Ladakh and Kupwara as a part of punishment for gross negligence of their duties.
Expressing deep concern over the careless attitude of absentees, Mr. Hussain asked Block Medical Officer to conduct inspection of health institutions on regular basis and discourage the trend of truancy and absenteeism of erring officials saying the vital service of health should not suffer due to lackadaisical attitude of employees.
Later, the Minister went round various in-patient wards and enquired about the facilities being provided to them. |
