| Upgradation of four posts of PPS in HC ordered | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 10- In contempt petition filed by Raghbir Lal Kohli & Ors, the present Secretary Law has filed compliance report through Additional Advocate General AH Qazi submitting therein that sanction has already been accorded, on December 5 itself, to the up-gradation of four posts of Principal Private Secretaries of the J&K High Court held by the petitioners namely Raghbir Lal Kohli, Piaray Lal Nagri, Moulvi Fida Hussain and Din Mohammed Sabunia to the pay scale of Rs 10000-15200 with effect from January 16, 2003. Justice Virender Singh of J&K High Court, after hearing Raghbir Lal Kohli in person and Additional Advocate General AH Qazi, observed that since the compliance report has been filed by the Additional Advocate General pursuant to earlier direction of the Court issued on November 16, 2009, the instant application seeking exemption of personal appearance of AH Kochak then Principal Secretary Law has rendered in fructuous and disposed off this accordingly. In the contempt petition Justice Singh observed that contended petition before the Court is that respondent Nos 1 to 3 have already complied with the judgment of this Court, as an order was issued on December 5, 2009. However, Raghbir Lal Kohli stated that the instant petition may be kept alive for some time more so that the order in implemented in letter and spirit by the Registrar General of the J&K High Court. Upon this, the Court ordered to list the case again in the second week of February, 2010 with the direction to Registrar Judicial to convey this order to Registrar General of the J&K High Court. JNF
