| Rs. 96 cr. upgradation project for Kargil-Zanskar | | | Kargil, October 07 – Minister for School Education Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today said that sate government is vigorously pursuing sanction of Rs 96 crore upgradation project for Kargil-Zanskar road under CRF scheme. Addressing a public meeting at Sankoo near here today, Peerzada said that project which is in last stage of approval envisages widening and upgradation of the road. Listing the achievements of coalition government during its four years in office, the Minister said that all major commitments made at the time of election have been fulfilled including according of tesil status to Sankoo . Announcing the upgradation of Middle Schools of Yakzha Umba and Bartu to the next level of High School, Peerzada said that during last 4 years besides opening two new Higher Secondary schools and three High schools in the area a new block was also carved out in the tehsil. He said for promoting tourism Sankoo has been accorded the status of a tourist village. Social Welfare Minister Haji Nissar Ali, Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, Executive Councillors and legislators of the area were also present. |
