| Youth KPs hold protest for employment package | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 11- To force the state government to implement the Prime Minister’s employment package for Kashmiri Pandit youth at the earliest, the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) today held one day protest dharna outside Press Club. Holding placards in the hands, large number of KP youth under the banner of YAIKS raised slogans in support of their demands seeking Government attention towards implementation of Prime Minister’s employment package. They alleged Government’s biased and partial attitude towards the community. Speaking on the occasion, R K Bhat, president, YAIKS said that the agitation has been started to give a vigorous push to awaken the powers as the KP youth have been segregated from rest of the State for last 20 years and now also in the recently declared employment policy on December 5. “Though the Government on the floor of Assembly declared 15000 employments for the community in response to the employment package of the Prime Minister announced much earlier in April, 2008 but they fail to fulfill their own commitments and breached their promises/announcements time and again”, Bhat mentioned. Bhat categorically said that their concern is not only the 3000 appointments for which the Central Government, has given its nod but we stress that rest 3000 jobs to be borne by the State Government, must also be expeditiously granted in their favour. He warned the Government that in case the PM’s employment package was not implemented during the current month itself they will continue their agitation in a different and drastic manner. Ashwani Chrungoo of Panun Kashmir, K K Khosa for Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, P L Koul Badgami of KHC, D N Kissu for Non Camp also joined the day long dharna of YAIKS.
