| NABARD organizes capacity building workshop | | |

Jammu, Dec 11: A workshop on rural infrastructure development fund (RIDF) for the nodal officer of the state government was held at NABARD’s regional officehere today.
The officials from the departments like PWD (R&B), PHE, Irrigation etc. participated in the workshop.
Inaugurating the workshop CGM-NABARD ML Sukhdeva highlighted the contribution of RIDF in the development of the state during the last 15 years. He further discussed the gap in rural infrastructure and emphasized on the road connectivity for unconnected villages. He called upon the officers to identify new areas for development and submit new projects. He insisted upon simplification of the process of release of funds and completion of the projects well in time.
Director Planning-J&K Government, ML Khajuria in his address appreciated NABARD for its contribution in development of J&K state through RIDF. He called upon the officers to expedite submission of utilization certificate for timely completion of projects. He said government will diversity in sectors like animal husbandry under RIDF funding in near future.
