| INTUC holds meet, discuss problems | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 11: The workers of Indian national trade union congress (INTUC) unit of Reasi hold a meeting today under the chairmanship of State INTUC president Shiv Kumar Sharma. Speaking on the occasion Sharma said, that one and half days extra pay to PHE employees be released, daily rate be enhanced @ Rs. 110/- day, charcoal with Sigries be issued to the employees on duty to protect them from severe cold during this winter season, time bound promotion which is pending from a long time be implemented, proper entries should be maintained in the service books and also he entries of 6th pay commission be made as early as possible. He further said that wages of daily rated workers which is pending from last several months be released immediately, the payments of regular employees should be paid in time i.e. before 5th of every month and the problem of shortage of clerical staff should be looked into early. Sharma said that the class-IV employees of the PHE department who have been transferred from Darmari to Panther which have a distance of 200-250 Kmts are suffering a lot as the employees could not make up and down daily and they demanded the accommodation at place of posting. Prominent among those attended the meeting including Munshi Ram, Nair Singh, Baldev Raj, Chuni Lal, Ranjit Singh, Abdul Majid, Banarasi Dass and others.
